Oregon Sea Grant is now accepting applications through August 15th for the 2016-2017 Oregon Sea Grant Legislative Fellowship.

The Legislative Fellowship is awarded to qualified current and recent graduate students at any College or University in Oregon with an interest in marine and coastal policy issues. The Fellow will support the Oregon Coastal Caucus during the 2017 Oregon Legislative Session, with particular focus on:

  • providing technical expertise on marine and coastal issues to legislators;
  • providing timely reports on current coastal issues for Sea Grant and other interested parties;
  • developing knowledge of the legislative process as it relates to coastal and ocean issues;
  • developing skills necessary to work with various levels of government and with private and state resource organizations.
