Oregon Sea Grant announces a new research funding initiative: the 2018-2022 SEED-LEAF Research Competition. The purpose of this pilot effort is to foster interdisciplinary research approaches that address issues critical to Oregon’s coast and citizens. Initial SEED projects provide nine months of support to convene a team and design a larger effort, the three+ year LEAF project. SEED proposals are due by 5:00 p.m. PST on Monday, February 6, 2017.
This research competition will identify projects that are both scientifically excellent and societally relevant. We are committed to projects that inform and engage communities, toward ensuring that vital research results are informed by and shared with those who need it most and in ways that are timely, relevant and meaningful.
