Sarah's research evaluates economic development plans from southern Oregon coastal counties for how they address economic vulnerabilities to hazards. By analyzing current plans and interviews with economic development professionals, Sarah will develop recommendations for how to improve economic resilience to hazards.
Sarah is a graduate student of community and regional planning with a certificate in sustainability at the University of Oregon. She received her bachelor's degree in acting from Washington University in St. Louis in 2004.
Sarah is interested in planning for community resilience that addresses issues holistically, looking at economic, environmental, and social stresses.
