Program: Neil Richmond Award, 2013

Amy is a third year PhD student in Craig Young’s lab at the Oregon Institute of Marine Biology. Her dissertation looks at the effects of large pacific waves and other water movements on hard bottom communities off Cape Arago, Oregon.  Part of her research involves placing moorings off the coast. This fellowship award will help offset some of the costs of building and deploying moorings.

Professional and Research Interests:

Amy enjoys engaging the public in research and education about the marine environment. In the future she hopes to teach and conduct research as a college professor and continue her involvement in public outreach.
