Program - OSG Summer Scholars
Assignment - As a 2016 Summer Scholar, Angus is working with the US Environmental Protection Agency to study the causes and impacts of acidification in estuary systems.
Education - Angus, orginally from Boston, MA, is a rising senior at the University of California, San Diego where he is pursuing a B.S. in Marine Biology and a minor in Environmental Studies.
Professional and research interests - Aside from ocean acidification, Angus is interested in fisheries management as well as a number of other fields including marine biochemistry, community ecology, and animal behavior. He plans on taking some time after college to test out these interests before pursuing graduate school education. Outside of the realm of science, Angus loves scuba diving, fly-fishing, camping, and watching movies; his favorite is Apocalypse Now.
