When OSU received funding from the National Science Foundation to design and build the new Regional Class Research Vessels (RCRV), they established an Outreach and Education (O&E) team composed of multiple OSU partners to support increased data literacy and improved science communication skills of researchers.

iCrab, Dance and Coding Summer Camp Videos

This video describes a summer camp that used dance and computer coding to teach upper elementary and middle school students how low oxygen in the ocean affects crabs. The project was led by Darryl Thomas, a professor of dance at Western Oregon University. The final video of the dance can be viewed here. Oregon Sea Grant provided funding for this project.
