Paddle Beaver Creek

Authors:
Oregon Sea Grant, Oregon Parks & Recreation

Oregon Sea Grant and the Oregon Parks & Recreation Department have joined resources to create a free iPhone application that guides visitors through the Beaver Creek State Natural Area, Oregon's newest state park. The app features an interactive map of the scenic Beaver Creek Water Trail - an easy-paddling, three-mile waterway open to kayaks and canoes. As you paddle into the park, the application tracks your progress and highlights points of interest along the way, from nesting ospreys to beaver lodges. The new Beaver Creek Welcome Center east of Ona Beach State Park on the central coast even offers free WiFi access so visitors with iPhones can download the application on the spot!
