(Video) Welders and metal fabricators at work
(Tony Shacher) "The wave energy devices are gonna need to be built in-house, somewhere near wherever they’re placed. This has a huge impact on the local economy because this brings skilled wages, and they’re living wages; they’re not just your minimum wage jobs. These are, you know, metal workers, they’re fabricators, installers."
(Video) Boats sit idle at a fishing port. Closeup of one of the wave-generating bouys. Schacher speaks to the camera.
(Tony Schacher) "This may give a new lease to life to some of the fishing boats that haven’t seen much service in the last couple of years, because the need will be there to transport these devices offshore, and to bring them in for service when it’s necessary."
