Adriene manages the Oregon Sea Grant's website. Her primary role is as the Communications Specialist for the Hatfield Marine Science Center Director's Office, where she manages the Hatfield website and provides a variety of outreach services, including content writing, photography and graphic design.

In 2018, she redesigned Oregon Sea Grant's website, which then won gold in the AVA Digital Awards competition in the category for educational institutions.

Previously, she was a communications specialist with Oregon State University’s BioResource Research Program and also the outreach coordinator for the OSU-based Oregon Agriculture in the Classroom Foundation. Adriene has also worked as the communications director for the Oregon branch of PTV America, a transportation and logistics firm, and the communications director for the Iowa Energy Center.
