Annie Montgomery is serving as the 2017 Sea Grant Legislative Scholar, spending the legislative session working with members of the Oregon Legislature's coastal caucus on issues related to ocean and coastal policy.
Annie earned her dual bachelor of arts in Political Science and Environmental Studies from University of Nevada, Reno. She is currently a third-year law student at University of Oregon School of Law, pursuing a certificate in Ocean and Coastal Law.
Annie grew up in remote southeast Alaska, commercial fishing in the summer and attending school in Port Townsend, Washington, in the winter. Her interests are anything to do with fish or fishermen, science, law, or actually getting to go fishing. Annie is excited to be a Sea Grant Scholar and looking forward to working with the Oregon Coastal Caucus during the 2017 legislative session.
