Hosted by Oregon Sea Grant, this webinar is for students in grades 6-12 who want to explore careers in marine science.

Toby Harbison shares how her path to graduate school was filled with stops in Montana, California, India, Alaska, Maui and the Turks and Caicos Islands. She's now studying what Dungeness crabs eat as a master's student in marine resource management in Oregon State University's College of Earth, Ocean, and Atmospheric Sciences.

Ashley Hann, who is also a master's student in marine resource management at OSU, takes us on a journey to Antarctica where she and a team studied the ocean to understand the cause of biologically diverse hot spots there. Her travels prior to graduate school included stops in Australia, the Florida Keys and California's Channel Islands.

Lindsay Carroll, who coordinates Oregon Sea Grant's marine education program, serves as a moderator on this webinar, which was recorded on May 20, 2020.
