Adriene manages Oregon Sea Grant's website part time. She joined the program in August 2017, and until September 2022, she was responsible for submitting Oregon Sea Grant's scholarly papers and outreach to a national library and letting university communicators and media outlets know about the program's work. She also designed publications and processed purchasing orders for outreach materials. In 2018, she redesigned Oregon Sea Grant's website, which then won a gold in the AVA Digital Awards competition in the category for educational institutions.
Previously, she was a full-time communications specialist with Oregon State University’s BioResource Research program, a position she started in 2015. She was also the outreach coordinator for the OSU-based Oregon Agriculture in the Classroom Foundation; the communications director for the Oregon branch of PTV America, a transportation and logistics firm; and the communications director for the Iowa Energy Center.
