As senior aquarist at Hatfield Marine Science Center, Colleen manages the animal side of the Visitor Center in addition to many other Aquatic Animal Health Program aquarium systems behind the scenes. She is also responsible for the management of the aquarist staff, volunteer feeders, husbandry volunteers, interns and practicum students. Colleen graduated from University of South Florida with a BS in Environmental Science and Policy and a minor in Psychology. She has specialized in marine animal care, collection and research for over 20 years at several public aquariums and marine science facilities, including the Florida Aquarium, the Oregon Coast Aquarium, College of William and Mary's Virginia Institute of Marine Science, the Virginia Aquarium and Marine Science Center, and the National Aquarium in Baltimore.
