Roxy Tacy

Roxy is Oregon Sea Grant's grant and contract coordinator. She has been an Oregon State fan since she moved to the area almost 30 years ago. Her education and background are in administration, accounting, and finance management. Roxy loves the Oregon coast and has always been very interested in and fond of marine life. She has an amazing husband, partner, and daughter, who also love the Oregon coast and travel there as often as they can! Roxy is delighted to be on the Sea Grant Team and is amazed by all the areas that Sea Grant serves and is involved in.

Amanda Gladics

Based at the Oregon State University Extension – Clatsop County office in Astoria, Amanda Gladics provides community education programs that foster sustainability of fishery resources, and the public's understanding of those resources. She works closely with commercial fishermen, researchers, and managers to develop innovative solutions for reducing bycatch fisheries, and conducts public education for coastal residents and visitors through a variety of community outreach and engagement efforts. Gladics earned a B.S. in natural resources and an M.S.

Timothy Miller-Morgan

Dr. Miller-Morgan's primary focus is on providing educational programming and service to the aquarium industry in Oregon and beyond, to help importers, wholesalers, retailers and hobbyists succeed in the rearing, husbandry and healthcare of ornamental aquatic animals in the aquarium or pond environment.

Sarah Kolesar

Sarah Kolesar is the primary point of contact for researchers, graduate students, and undergraduates working under - or applying for - Sea Grant support. She joined Oregon Sea Grant in 2009 and became its research program specialist the following year.

Cait Goodwin

Cait Goodwin is a member of the Sea Grant marine education team at the Hatfield Marine Science Center's Visitor Center in Newport. She runs marine science-focused teacher professional-development workshops, develops and leads K-12 lab and field programs, supports student STEM events, and is the creator and coordinator of the popular Oregon Coast Quests program.

Athena Crichton

Athena has been a marine educator for Oregon Sea Grant for more than a dozen years. She attended University of Hawaii at Hilo and studied human anatomy and physiology. When she joined Oregon Sea Grant, she switched gears to learn and teach about the anatomy, physiology and behavior of fish and marine invertebrates. Her current special interest is the exploration and study of marine ecosystems, particularly estuarine habitats.

Samuel Chan

Professor Sam Chan is Oregon Sea Grant's expert in aquatic invasive species and watershed/aquatic ecosystem health. He conducts applied research and provides public education and engagement to Oregonians to help them understand, identify, control and manage the spread of marine invasives. He also serves on and is past chair of the Oregon Invasive Species Council, and is on the Western Regional Panel on Aquatic Nuisance Species. Sam has additional expertise in the areas of water quality and oil spill response and mitigation.
