Susie Conley

Susie Conley graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a Honors B.S. in General Science and minor in Chemistry from the University of Oregon, a B.S. in Biology from Washington State University -- Vancouver, and a Master of Education from Washington State University -- Vancouver. 

Stacia Carpenter

Stacia grew up in Indiana with an innate fascination with the ocean. She graduated from Indiana University with a degree in Outdoor Recreation, Parks and Human Ecology before going on to work as a park ranger in several federal parks. Her professional focuses include interpretation, visitor services and promoting stewardship of the natural world. 

Kama Almasi

Kama Almasi is the director of the Oregon Coast STEM Hub. She was previously a STEM specialist at the Oregon Department of Education, where she worked with the statewide network of STEM hubs on computer science and math initiatives. She also spent two years in Washington, D.C., as a participant in the Albert Einstein Distinguished Educator Fellowship program.

 

Jessi Kershner

Jessi Kershner is the Associate Director for Extension & Engagement at Oregon Sea Grant.

Jessi brings more than 15 years of experience working at the intersection of science and policy to improve the conservation and management of natural resources. She has expertise in workshop design and facilitation, project and program management, translating and synthesizing complex science information into a variety of products, and communicating climate impacts, adaptation, and mitigation to diverse audiences.

Sheryl Powell

Sheryl Powell has been with Oregon State University since 2010.  Before her role as Fiscal Officer with Oregon Sea Grant, she was the Finance and Accounting Manager with the Agricultural Sciences and Marine Sciences Business Center for over 10 years. 

Prior to joining Oregon State University, Sheryl was at the University of Oregon for 11 years, first as the department accountant for English and Folklore, and later as the Grants Financial Manager in the Office of Research Services and Administration.

Angee Doerr

Angee is the Oregon Sea Grant and Oregon State University Extension specialist for Lincoln County. She focuses on commercial fisheries and marine coastal resources, providing community outreach and education on subjects ranging from marine resource management to nearshore energy and sustainable economic growth for coastal industries. Angee works closely with community partners, including commercial fishermen, managers, and researchers, to advance our understanding of fisheries and other marine resources in Oregon and along the West Coast. She holds a BS, an MBA and a Ph.D.

Stephanie Ichien

Originally from Southern California, Stephanie earned her B.A. in biology at Colorado College and her MSc in marine resource management at OSU, with a certificate in fisheries management. She has experience working on coastal issues from California to Alaska. Most recently, Stephanie has been involved in international development and sustainable aquaculture research with the AquaFish Innovation Lab at OSU.
