Diet: Fishes, squids, crustaceans, & marine mammals
Lifespan: ~80 years
Key features: Deep brown coloration, six gill slits, blunt & rounded nose, only one dorsal fin
Fun fact: Bluntnose sixgill sharks are the largest shark species in the order Hexanchiformes, reaching almost two times the length of the next largest living species. The group, known as cow sharks, also includes broadnose sevengill sharks and frilled sharks.
